A woman wakes up one morning to find that a mysterious tent has appeared on her lawn. What to make of this? ‘The Tent’ is a 22-minute AR fairy-tale inspired by writer Martha Marion that sheds a light on the relationship between squatting and homelessness. With wit and feeling, director Rory Mitchell tackles human dynamics and poses questions on responsibility and guilt, power and privilege. Developed using volumetric video and photogrammetry, this AR experience allows audiences to move around in a film and to explore a miniature world from all perspectives. ‘The Tent’ is drama, satire and bourgeois fever dream – a fable about society.
