A young woman in the African village of Tiébélé plays detective: Mixing clay and water, she traces her female ancestors’ gestures by applying clay paint. Supported by song and live sounds of a ngoni, she embarks on a journey to the roots of humankind, following the tracks left by the women of this Burkina Faso village on their houses.
